West Hollywood

West Hollywood celebrates twenty-five years of cityhood in 2010.  Amdist the megalopolis which is Los Angeles, West Hollywood has elements of a small town, and some of the most glittering addresses in the world.

The legendary Sunset Strip is West Hollywood.  Along its route, even Angelinos are impressed by iconic billboards; famous music and comedy clubs including the Whiskey, the Roxy, the Viper, the Comedy Store, House of Blues; swank accommodation, dining, and shopping, much of which overlooks the city below.  The Strip continues to evolve with shiny new projects replacing fading predecessors.

Santa Monica Boulevard is West Hollywood.  Along its route from Hollywood to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica Boulevard exemplifies diversity.  On the eastern end, a dense, vibrant Russian population thrives.  Many of the stores have a small European ambiance, and the neighbors do their shopping on foot.  Plummer Park offers a community center, sports facilities, and tables of chess players during the day.  The eastside is transitioning, however.  Older strip malls are being replaced with newer, denser, mixed-use projects, where condos, senior housing, commerical space, and park facilites all will cohabitate.  Moving west along the Boulevard, the historic heart of gay West Hollywood still pulses, though it maintains an inclusive and international atmosphere.  Gay Pride celebrations in June, and Halloween festivities draw hundreds of thousands of participants from around the world.

Melrose Avenue is West Hollywood.  Home to the monolithic Pacific Design Center, and the hub of the design and decoration industries, Melrose also houses houses of high fashion, neighborhood coffee and tea shops, and great shopping and dining.

Residentially, West Hollywood offers more of a mix of property types than many other areas in greater Los Angeles.  On the western side, charming neighborhoods are found within a stone's throw of urban offerings which are thus accessible without driving, a rarity in Los Angeles.  West Hollywood is also condominium, rental, and multi-unit income dense.

There is a huge variety of condo offerings, from small buildings to high-rise, full-service buildings, and from historic architecture to the completely new and contemporary. The same qualities also exist in rentals and units, making a vast range of purchase opportunities.

Based in West Hollywood, Peter Schwartz and Jonathan Fritts are perfectly sited and suited to market your property for sale, or to help you identify and purchase your next home or investment.
